Our training is focused on providing employers and employees with the skills and knowledge to work safely every day; aimed to decrease injury, asset damage and operational down time and in the unlikely event of an incident, to be prepared and capable of enacting a rescue.

Work Safely At Heights – RIIWHS204D

Preventive safety measures are required when performing high risk tasks at heights or depths. Work Safely At Heights provides participants with the knowledge to identify height safety work requirements and procedures. Participants attending Work Safely At Heights will conduct detailed equipment inspections and a variety of equipment installations to adhere with industry best practice.

Confined Space – 1 Day Package

Enter and Work in Confined Spaces – RIIWHS202D
This unit covers the entering and working in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning and preparing for entry of confined spaces; entry and working in confined spaces, exiting confined spaces and cleaning up. This unit specifies the competency required to work in a confined space (enclosed or partially enclosed) for the purpose of carrying out work or inspections.

Emergency Control Training Courses

Wardens – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation – PUAWER005B

This unit covers the competency required to implement the emergency response specified in the workplace emergency procedures or specified by a person at a higher level in the emergency control organisation. People, who undertake this work will be working within the command, control and coordinate structure of the emergency control organisation. This unit has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in Australian Standard 3745-2010.

This unit covers the competency required to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to the emergency incident area. This unit has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in Australian Standard 3745-2010. People who undertake this course may act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival. These may include Chief and Deputy Chief Wardens within a workplace environment.

First Aid Training Courses

CPR Refresher – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation – HLTAID001

This course provides participants with the confidence and competence required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty. This training course is designed for any person whom may need to perform CPR to utilise D-R-S-A-B-C-D during the course of their employment. This training course is taught according to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This training course takes personnel through both the theory of why we do CPR and many practical exercises that emphasise the ‘how’ we perform CPR.

Provide Emergency Care – PUAEME001B

This unit covers the competency to provide emergency care pending the arrival of appropriately qualified personnel. Elements include: identify need for emergency care; ensure personal safety of carer and casualty; reassure casualty; assess casualty and implement emergency care procedures; work cooperatively with personnel from other organisations; etc.

This course teaches the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills to enable the first aider to provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses, in the home or the workplace. COURSE CONTENT: chain of survival; assessing the situation; signs of life; performing CPR; demonstrate use of an automated external defibrillator; care for the unconscious person; etc.

Rescue Training Course

LV Rescue – Perform rescue from a live Low Voltage panel – UETTDRRF06B

This Competency Standard Unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Impact Safety Group’s training is suited to individuals and groups, however for us to proceed we need to have sufficient numbers to make it economically viable. Five (5) participants are usually needed to proceed with a training course. The most popular courses are run several times each month and extra courses can be put on if numbers dictate.

ISG’s Trainer / Assessors have many decades of combined experience through being involved in the Vocational Educational and Training of workers involved with high risk work activities, emergency response and rescue.

Impact Safety Group has an auspice agreement with Combined Safety Services, who are a registered Training Organisation, to deliver their suite of Nationally recognised training courses RTO 40453.

From the successful completion of an Impact Safety Group course participants will receive a Combined Safety Services Statement of Attainment.

Alternatively we are very happy and capable in providing courses contextualised to your specific workplace environments.
